ICCONS® anchors Indigenous Larrakia artworks at Darwin’s Tiger Brennan Overpass with durable Stainless Steel Mushroom-head Strike (Spike) Anchors.
The Tiger Brennan Drive and Berrimah Road Intersection Overpass is a major infrastructure upgrade designed to improve traffic flow and safety at one of Darwin’s busiest intersections. As part of this project, striking Larrakia artwork by artists Lorraine Williams and Natalie Quall was installed on the overpass walls, celebrating local culture and heritage.
Art Installation & ICCONS Involvement
The project required a secure and durable fixing solution to mount the intricate metal artworks onto the concrete structures. ICCONS supplied 6.5 x 50 Stainless Steel Mushroom Strike Anchors to ensure a reliable, long-lasting installation.
These Stainless Steel Mushroom-head Strike (Spike) anchors were chosen for their high-performance, corrosion resistance, and ease of installation in concrete surfaces, making them ideal for Darwin’s harsh tropical environment.
