What is a Plasterboard Anchor?

Plasterboard anchors, commonly known as Hollow Wall Anchors or a plasterboard fixing, are fixing inserts designed to be self-drilled into plasterboard and when combined with a screw, allow for a strong connection to a plasterboard base. Plasterboard anchors are perfect for a base material like plasterboard because they are light-duty fixings that are simple and easy to install. They are a very versatile fixing that are suitable for a variety of light duty applications in both plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting as well as plywood and other thing, hollow base materials.

Types of Plasterboard Anchors

Grip Nuts

Features: Easy installation, EPDM body and excellent for acoustic applications.
Application: A universal plug with rivet style action when set.
Suitable Substrates: Plasterboard, Fibre Cement Sheeting, Brick and Block and Solid Concrete.
Finish: Gal or Stainless Screws.

Metal Plaster Bites

Features: Quick and easy installation, drill-point or fish-mount tip, sharp thread and no pre-drilling required.
Application: Light-duty applications including plasterboard or fibre cement fixtures, lighting fixtures, bathroom installs, fire alarm installs and shelving.
